Well, I am jumping head first into the blogger world, that I do not know much about. I have always wanted to "blog" but never thought I would have anything interesting to write about! :) So here goes an attempt to keep friends and family updated with our different seasons of life.
When I was thinking about the title, all I could think about was, as a family, Bryant and I have gone through many different journeys. Eight years together, we have seen and experienced so much of God's grace and love and continue to wake up to it each morning. We've experienced the valleys and the mountains and through it all strive to give God the glory. We've gone through the seasons He has chosen to give us. We are excited to see where He takes us...
This May we had many celebrations.....our 3rd anniversary, B's 27th birthday, and finding out that we are becoming PARENTS!!! Needless to say, we were thrilled! We have gone through so many emotions since seeing 2 lines that Sunday afternoon - but we are so honored and blessed that our Father has allowed us to become parents to a little miracle! I went to the doctor 2 weeks ago, and he was not convinced of how far along I was - so that lead to an ultrasound. We were prepared not to hear/see the heartbeat (the ultrasound tech said it could be to early) but we were literally brought to tears when we not only saw but heard our little peanuts heartbeat! Oh, it was AMAZING! Bryant and I were speechless (if you know B, that is sometimes a hard task to accomplish :) Ha!) It was truly a day I will not forget as long as I live! Bryant and I were talking one night about the whole experience and it was humbling for one thing, but we were burdened the next moment. There are so many people who are aborting these little lives that God has given us, and it truly breaks my heart to think about it. The minute we saw the little blob on the ultrasound - we knew this was a LIFE, no matter how big or small, that we've been entrusted with raising. Our prayer is that we would be parents that raise this precious child to love and fear the Lord. That he/she would be called to become a child of God, grow to walk in a faith that is strong and steady and be confident of His Word.
On another note, I have experienced the morning/noon/night sickness. (Whoever invented the name morning sickness obviously was not pregnant!) It seems to be better some days and worse other days. Bryant keeps reminding me....only 4 more weeks. That will be the end of my 1st trimester and they SAY it gets better! :) I sleep about 20 hours of the day - this is probably not to much of an exaggeration! B finds me on the couch most days, multiple times a day! He has been an amazing husband - very willing to serve! I dream about boy and girl names, bedding, nurseries and so badly want to start reorganizing and moving furniture to make room for this new addition. The night I found out I was pregnant I wanted to clean out the office - can you tell I'm a planner??
This has been one of the neatest and sweetest seasons of our life and can't wait to see what the next 7 months and beyond hold for our little family!
