So in love...

Today I had my 29 week check up and we were able to have William's 4 D ultrasound. This technology is by far the most amazing thing! We were in love before...but WOW!! I never knew seeing that sweet face would totally change my world! I can't even imagine how I will feel when I get to hold this little guy! He already has a personality, and I think it's so neat that we are seeing it before he actually gets here! When the ultrasound tech started his cord was in his face, I moved around some and he finally pulled it away - but only to replace it with his hands and feet! Yes, his little precious baby feet were by his face the WHOLE time! He wouldn't budge! ha! He finally got tired of the poking and turning we were doing and squenched his face and started to turn in towards me! You can see in one of the pics...he doesn't look to happy!
He is still breeched and weighs 3lb 5oz (Dr. Waller said that he was in the 65th percentile) He is very healthy and right on track! We have been blessed beyond measure! We are so thankful for this little fellow and blessed to be called his parents. Bryant looked at me on the ride home from the doctor and said "I would be okay if he came tomorrow!" talk about a proud Daddy! His smile couldn't get any bigger today! I love my two guys and look forward to this journey ahead!
Enjoy the pics! :)
OH, we think he has my nose/forehead and Bryant's sweet smile, lips and chin...and she said he did have hair! But I think we all guessed that! ha!

I can't wait to kiss that sweet face and those chubby cheeks!

I think he looks like Daddy in this one!

His hand his by his face in this one.

That little foot....can't wait to see those precious toes!

Little hands :)

Sticking out his tongue....already a mess! :)

Curled up! (his knee is the bottom left)

He's mad! This was when he got tired of the poking! Poor guy!

Food, Football and Sweet Friends

We have been blessed with some incredible friends that we love dearly. This past weekend they had a shower/cookout/football party for Bryant, Baby William and me. It was definitely a great time of laughs! I love that we can not see them for a while, but pick back up where we left off when we do see each other....a sign of true friendship! We wish we lived closer, but we are thankful for the time we have with each of them! Thank you Natalie & Bare, Trey & Joy and Adam & Ashley for hosting such a wonderful weekend! We love you guys!

Here are a few pics from the weekend...

A rare Bare smile....caught on camera! :)

Best friends...Bare and Bryant (they swapped poses...normally Bryant is all grins and Bare goes with the no smile!)

Thanks for looking Trey - Bryant and Carson were too much in the game.

Getting Ready

My hospital bags :) They are not packed....but I got them all to match so Bryant knows what to grab when it's time!
Can't believe little man will be using this stuff in a matter of months! (This is what took us hours to put together! ha!)

William's Nursery

Here are a few pics from William's nursery! It is starting to look more and more like a little boy's room!

This football bean bag is from Bryant's room when he was a little boy.

Love, love, love to look at his sweet bed! :)

Here I am Lord, Send Me...

The past 6 months have been an exciting time in our lives. We found out I was pregnant, have watched this little boy begin to grow, have gotten involved in the college ministry at FBC, and we have been called to plant a church.
Our lives are forever changing and we are thankful that God is in control of that change. We both have desired to watch the Kingdom grow - and to be a part of that growth. We never knew what it would look like, but we prayed that we would be used...and our sweet Father has answered that prayer. We, along with 3 other families in Troy, are planting a church and it will begin January 2nd! Yes, that is 1 week before my due date - talk about trusting God's timing! I tend to get overwhelmed very easily - so I am truly learning that my hands are free and He is leading the reins! Bryant and I are both so very excited to start this journey. I have always trusted in Bryant's leadership of our family, but I have been so blessed to see this man of God lead me in all areas of our life.
To be truthful, I was a bit skeptical at first of the idea of us doing this. I like change to an extent, however, I wasn't sure I could handle entering in to the unknown in so many ways! Bryant had spent time in the Word and in prayer and knew we were being called. Now I truly believe in God ordaining the husband to lead the household/wife, so I knew I would go with him, but I wanted to be CONVINCED that this is what I was supposed to do as well. So that's what we began to pray - God is an amazing God and shows Himself in so many ways - ways that I often overlook. Bryant and I began to get questioned, ALOT, on why we were doing this. We had opposition and still ALOT more questions from people. If you know me, you know I DO NOT like confrontation, so I wasn't sure how to react to this. We did the only thing we knew to do... it caused us both to dig deeper in scripture and spend more time praying for this plant. Through this, I began to become convinced that this is where God has us...and I am pumped! The more people ask questions, the more I know this is what God has called us to do. I don't know what it will look like, especially with a newborn, but I trust that my Father is sovereign and He knows the path that we are walking on....He's actually laid it for us. This has been a season of change, most definitely, but also a season where Bryant and I have fallen more in love with each other and the Father.

One Last Trip

This week has been my fall break and it has been WONDERFUL! It came at a time that I needed it most! I have been lounging and napping and enjoying being off my feet! Earlier in the week we went to Dallas to see Dad and Suzanne, it was our last long trip before little man arrives. I will just say William is already spoiled, just a little :) We had lots of fun outfits waiting on us...it made my heart happy to know that my dad picked out several of them! I was also able to get some new things for this expanding belly....its hard to want to shop or buy clothes when you feel HUGE! So, it was nice to get to some stores that have in style maternity clothes! We absolutely love our time in Dallas and can't wait to introduce William to the city!

We took some time out of our shopping sprees to catch all the games "that mattered." It was a sad weekend for us in sports.....Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Alabama all lost!

I am so thankful for the time Bryant and I got to spend together! I absolutely love the moments we get to share that are not consumed with "everyday stuff" - his company makes any trip the best!

Boy, oh Boy...

Well, I am going to attempt this blog thing again....I really have a desire to keep it up, but as you can imagine our life is crazy busy! I want to slow things down and just hold on to these sweet moments.

To update you on our lives...I am 27 weeks (will be 28 on Sunday) and growing FAST! This little man loves to wiggle and kick at all hours. I told Bryant last night that I absolutely couldn't wait to hold him and meet him, but I would sure miss the feeling of him moving around inside! I have felt great throughout this pregnancy - and have truly loved every minute! It's hard to believe that Edward William (we are calling him William) will be here in less than 12 weeks! His nursery is still in the works - mom came and painted (she did an awesome job!) and his chair and curtains should be here sometime next week! Seeing things come together just gets us so excited. Bryant and I have spent several hours, yes...SEVERAL HOURS, putting together his stroller, car seat and high chair. :) We are telling ourselves that surely the baby won't be as difficult as his stuff! ha! These are the sweet times we are cherishing - just the two of us! Molly seems to know that something is going on...weird I know, but she loves his room and anytime it is open she's in there! Mainly to sneak off with his toys.....I forsee many runs around the house chasing her and William!
Bryant has been a sport - he sits and watches patiently as I show him William's things and has become an expert back and foot massager! One of our most favorite things to do is sit in church and watch my belly move...William responds to the music. He also responds to his daddy yelling during Alabama football....it always brings a smile to my face!
