Pineapples and Palm Trees

Pineapples and palm trees were my staples last week....we were in Hawaii and I was one happy momma!

Dad, Suzanne, Bryant, William and I flew to Oahu to spend a week with my wonderful brother and sister-n-law. I wasn't too sure if we would actually get to say we went to Hawaii...Wednesday (before we were set to leave Friday am) William and I head for the doctor...yep, he had ear infections! Now I was already a tad nervous about him flying...it would be about 20 hours in all of flying time. Everyone told me as long as his ears are ok, he would do fine! So low and behold...his little ears weren't good. Dr. Wood gave us some meds and assured me he would be ok to go. So B and I went along with the plans...still very skeptical of our decision! But...I must brag...little man did AWESOME!!! He didn't cry and 2 days later you would have never known he was sick! He actually found severa people on the plane that he could entertain! That boy can put on a show...a little flirt in the making! :)

We saw so much, but really the best time was all the crazy conversation each morning and night...it's never a dull moment with the Henrys. It amazes me how we can go a year without seeing each other, but yet pick up where we left off like we saw each other daily!

Brandon and Autumn got to finally meet William...and I think it was love at first sight...for both! William would just stare at them and smile...it was priceless! William got to "test out" all of Grayson's stuff...I'm happy to say that everything worked perfectly...thanks for letting us break it in!

My brother has become such an amazing man...reminds me a lot of my daddy. He is a loving husband, and will be an awesome daddy to that sweet little guy due in August! I so enjoy my time with him...only wished it came more often! I'm trying to persuade him that Alabama would be a great place to settle down after the Army! ;)

I'll let the pictures tell the rest....

Sleepy head...getting up at 4 am is NOT in our daily routine!
He loved to look out the window on the plane!
In Los Angeles waiting to catch our flight to Honolulu.
After we shaved Dad's head....those 3 are too much! :)
Bryant teaching Brandon a few tips of diaper changing.
Notice...W is without a diaper....tip 1: beware of baby boy without a diaper! :)
Eating at an outside restaurant in North Shore.
Catching the breeze in his diaper.
 Aunt Autumn and Uncle B
 Yes, it was paradise! )
 Uncle B and little man.
First time to have his toes in the ocean. The water was pretty cold...so this is about as far as he got! :)
 North Shore
 Resting with Pop
These gorgeous trees were all over the island...talk about an awesome tree house tree.

 My favorite men!
My dad and step-mom....I love this picture!

Happy little guy....he was a trouper...we racked several thousand miles on the stroller...
 This made me happy...
 as did this.
 Like father...like son.

 Eastern Shore

Those little toes loved the sand and water.
 Checking out the ocean.
 Getting a better view...
 Playing with mommy

Happy 4th of July and Happy 6th months William!
Headed out for a day at the beach.
 Wamanola Bay

No better place for a nap!
The "Blow Hole" - in the winter it shoots up water and looks like a whale's blowhole
We just saw an amazing view!

Touring Pearl Harbor...W didn't make it too long!
 The family at Pearl Harbor
My little island baby...he's a little windburned in this pic.

 First boat ride.
Riding the ferry to the USS Arizona memorial
 Daddy and Brandon
This is where we ate supper...beautiful view of Pearl Harbor
Uncle Brandon scuba dives...so he was letting W try on his gear.

 Haunama Bay
This was probably one of our favorite places...it is a national park with amazing coral reef and fish.
Brandon, Bryant and I snorkeled here...well I lasted about 3 minutes. (I have a fear of being underwater...and I kept sucking in salt water in my snorkel...they also tell you not to step on the coral...so between trying to avoid the coral and staying above water I was not successful. The coral and I got tangled up and I got too close for comfort to a couple of big fish. Yes, that all happened within 3 minutes. I told Bryant I was headed back to my domain....the sand and my towel)
Our cozy little cove...W managed to roll to the end of the towel and grab a handful of sand...that he ate! :)
 The coral reef was amazing.
 An incredible view...
A jet lagged little guy.
He fell asleep while I changed his diaper.
5 hour time difference + flying through the night = one worn out baby!
Notice the tan?? :)
