A little of March

March has started off as a whirlwind.

We spent last week in Louisiana visiting with my sweet grandmother who passed away earlier this week. We had precious moments with her, and William loved blowing her kisses and putting on a show in her hospital room. My only regret, there were no pictures.

We made the 9 hour trip in 11 hours...pretty good for a pregnant woman and a 1 year old! My little guy was couped up in a hospital room or hotel room most of the week, so we were anxious to have any and every chance to let him blow off some steam.

Shreveport has this great kid-friendly hands on science museum, called Sci-Port. William and I spent a morning there, and when Bryant came to pick us up on Friday, we had to return and show Daddy all the fun this place held!

They have a great small kid's section and I could let William run free. It was a nice change from having to say "no no" to almost everything in his sight over the past week. He of course spotted the water table....and lets just say there wasn't a dry spot around after we got through! Thankfully Day 1 we were about the only people there...our second trip we had to keep him away, but we did manage to have 2 outfit changes due to the water table. My boy loves the water...

We made the trip home Sunday night and we were beyond delirious, tired and just so happy to see our own beds! However, William had different plans. He woke up a midnight with a fierce stomach bug. We have spent the past week battling that bug and hand, foot, mouth...which has invaded my little guy and left a horrible rash :(  Towards the end of the week, the bug made itself known in the rest of our house...Bryant and I have been down the past 2 days.

Being pregnant, having a sick husband, a sick little boy (who still wants to play) has been rough...but I read an article earlier in the week and it talked about how God gives us enough to sustain us for that day. Enough sleep, enough food, enough "rest", enough of whatever....His grace is SUFFICIENT for me and whatever my day may bring. So as I go to change the thousandth yucky diaper or start a load of laundry because I need a new sheet for W's crib at 3 am....I'm reminded that I have been given enough for that day. It's changes your perspective....BUT, I still despise the stomach bug! :)

So when you are confined to your house and not feeling great, what do you do? You catch up on blogging! :) It's a much better alternative to more yucky loads of laundry....that await me in the laundry room. ugh.

A few pics from our days at Sci-Port...
Day 1

 Splish, splash!!!!

 One happy little boy!

He's drenched and loving every minute of it!

The tunnel was his next favorite...

it may have been because there were mirrors at the end...

and he loves to look at himself. :)

Sharing with momma, not to sure that he really wanted to do this! :)

Leaving after Day 1...this unprepared momma didn't bring a change of clothes, so we rode home in just a diaper. Don't judge! :)

Day 2
{if you notice in the pictures below you will see 3 different outfits...I came prepared this time! :)}

It was fun to see our little boy be a little boy!
Running, laughing, squealing, climbing and splashing...Oh, how fun these days are!!
