Tis the Season

Well...it's been a while since my last post so I am going to update starting in December.

We had an amazing Christmas this year...not only spending time with family, but Bryant and I had 2 weeks of sweet time together as we were ending the time of just being a family of 2! We...well I... had a list of things that were special to us and I wanted to do "one last time" before we had little hands, bottles, and diapers involved! :)

This season was also a great time of reflection for us on the advent as well. We often get caught up in the stuff of Christmas...traveling, gifts, cooking, and just being busy...that we do forget why it is we even celebrate. And it's not just a baby being born...but that baby being born to die for the sins of the Father's children. How overwhelmed I am at the graciousness of a Father who would do this for me...a sinner, who is separated from Christ and deserves death. However, this merciful Father, bridged that gap by sending His Son. A perfect man who walked on this Earth and died a horrible death so that I may be forgiven and have a real relationship with the Lord...wow...it's almost more than I can fathom! But oh, how I am humbled that He would do that for me, His daughter. The sacrifice that was made is the reason we celebrate this sweet season, and every day after that!

We didn't do to much this Christmas...seeing how I thought I would have William at any point I was scared to travel too much (little did I know he would have stayed until March if he could have...ha!) but we did go to Selma and enjoyed a wonderful Christmas with Bryant's family. We came home, only to spend the next few days waiting anxiously, playing mean scrabble matches, and watching lots of movies...oh, and football...EVERY night!

Here are a few of our Christmas pictures...

Christmas Eve

 38 weeks and waiting ANXIOUSLY!

Don't let him fool you...Christmas is his favorite time of the year! :)

The Yarbrough boys

Bryant and William got swords for Christmas
The story is: Bryant has said that he and William will be knights at the round table (our kitchen table is round)
so every knight needs a sword, right!?! This was by far B's favorite gift!

Little man even had a stocking...so sweet!

Bryant and his mom dancing to some 40's music at his grandmother's house

 The Yarbrough girls :)

Uncle Mo got a sword too!

Nothing like a little last minute wrapping...yes, this was Christmas morning...yes, this was the wrapping...and yes, Bryant is writing who it is to on the box! Boys! :)
